Michael Jackson
June 28th, 2009
I did this portrait for this weekend's edition of the National Post on Friday - it took 7 or 8 tries before I was satisfied but I'm pleased with the final! I knew there wasn't going to be any text on the whole page so the pressure was on. I beatboxed Smooth Criminal through most of it. Black and red ink on sumi paper.

Society of News Design Awards
March 2nd, 2009
Lots of my illustrations were featured on pages of the National Post that were recently selected for awards (in illustration, design and information graphics) by the Society of News design. After working for them for almost 10 years now, the Post remains one of the funnest publications to work for and it's great to see them recognized (again) for their unique look. Only the Los Angeles Times recieved more SND awards, worldwide! Here's a few of the winning pages.
Last one is a staff graphic, with Richard Johnson, Mike Faille, Andrew Barr, Jonathon Rivait and Murat Yukselir.
