The History of Rap poster
August 11th, 2009
I haven't really mentioned this on my website yet, but over the last few months I've been able to get my illustrated poster, The History of Rap, in the hands of many of the artists pictured on it! If you haven't seen the work before, it's an 18 x 30, 2-sided poster, with almost 500 portraits of rappers, in the best chronological order I could come up with. The back has trading card style information on each artist. The image was selected to be in this year's American Illustration annual, and in Canada, the Applied Arts illustration annual.I've now got photos of more than 50 different artists with the poster - so I've started a FLICKR SET to share the images. You've got to see it, especially if you like old school!
The poster is only availble through The Beguiling, if you're interested in getting one of the last few.
Special thanks to Alyse Feldman, Disconnexxions, and REMG for your help getting the flicks!
